In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Link Battles take place in a feature called the Z-A Battle Club. Up to four players battle to defeat as many of each other’s Pokémon as they can within the time limit, and they’re ranked from first to fourth based on how they do. Players can make full use of a variety of moves and Mega Evolutions, and go on the offensive!
Enjoy real-time battling action with Pokémon!
In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, players and Pokémon will move around together while unleashing moves in real time during battles. This new style of battle gameplay applies to Link Battles in the Z-A Battle Club as well.
In this title’s new battle system, some moves may work differently than in prior games in the Pokémon series. Moves have a wide range of effects—launching attacks in a fixed radius to deal damage to multiple Pokémon at once, targeting distant Pokémon by attacking in a straight line, and more. Launch attacks from places the opponents don’t expect or sweep through groups of opponents as players lead their partner Pokémon to victory by making full use of a variety of moves. Players can
defeat as many opposing Pokémon as they can within three minutes!
In the Z-A Battle Club, players will start out at different spots in the stage and send out Pokémon from their teams to begin the match. When any of their Pokémon faint, they will return to the starting point and reenter the battle with all the Pokémon fully recovered.
The time limit for each match is three minutes. Defeating an opponent’s Pokémon earns a player a point, and those points determine their ranking.
Mega Power orbs, which can be collected to Mega Evolve the Pokémon, may also appear around the stage, as well as items to boost the Pokémon’s stats temporarily.
A player can keep a close eye on the tide of battle while staying on the offensive to defeat the most Pokémon.
Enjoy Real-Time Battling Online or Through Local Communication!
In Ranked Battles, players can battle online against other players from around the world. They will earn points based on their place in these four-player battles. They may also earn additional points depending on their performance during battles. When they earn enough points, their rank will rise. Players can start at Rank Z, and be promoted all the way to the ultimate Rank A.
Players can earn rewards when a battle ends or when their rank rises, and they could earn even more rewards based on their final rank when the season ends after a set period of time. Rewards will vary between seasons, so players can actively participate to strive for higher ranks and earn rewards.
You can battle with friends too!
In Private Battles, players can input a Link Code to connect with nearby players using local communication or distant players using the internet. Players can select battle rules from several options and battle against up to three other players. Players can enjoy battling against other players with the rules they like!
